Biosketch
Larry Pershin Joined the Centre for Advanced Coating Technologies in 1995. He received his Ph.D. degree from St-Petersburg State Polytechnic University (Department of Physics and Metallurgy) in St.-Petersburg, Russia. His research interests focus on thermal plasma processing of various materials, thermal spray coatings application and coatings’ evaluation. Recent activities include development of DC plasma and combustion torches for coatings application, high power/volume molecular gases plasma application for refractory materials treatment and hazardous waste destruction.
Larry Pershin is a recipient of NSERC 2010 Brockhouse Canada Prize. He has published in more than 40 referred journal papers, and has obtained 2 US patents.
